I heart my Smartboard!

If there is one thing I can't live without in my elementary music classroom, it's my Smartboard! I LOVE it!!! I love looking at smarttech.com for new and fun lessons that teachers have shared, so I thought I would post a few of my favorites! These save me a TON of time with sub plans, they're user friendly, and the kids love the activities! If you have an interactive whiteboard, check these out! Even if you don't, you can still play them through your computer and have a blast!

  1. I use a portable smart tablet. It works like a smartboard but you carry around the room and interact with the students while using it. My students love to write on board while being in groups or at their seats. The technology is a wonderful asset in the classroom.

  2. I do not have a Smartboard, but many teachers in my school district do. There's definitely the potential for me to get one in the future! I will bookmark these resources so I have some ideas to get me started if the day ever comes that I'm lucky enough to have one.

  3. Max, the science dept. has a smart tablet and I am jealous every time I see it! I have requested one, but with the economy as it stands now, I am fortunate to keep what I have up and running!
Jess, if you have any way to play them, via a television or computer with speakers for your students to hear, these lessons work well for subs! I have the links to them in my "sub tub" for substitutes with little to no music background and they love them!
